The number of people who worked at home increased by nearly 2
million, from about
9.5 million in 1999 to about 11.3 million in 2005, according to new data
released by the U.S. Census Bureau. Nearly half of these home workers
had college degrees and nearly half of them earned $75,000 a year or
more.
